Gaucin is situated on a mountain ridge about 626 metres above sea level, with spectacular views to the Mediterranean sea, Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of Morocco.
The winding, narrow village streets are overlooked by an impressive castle ( Castillo del Aguila), built by the Moors on the remains of a Roman fortress, and later extended to provide a chapel dedicated to the Holy Child and a concert hall.
The house has three bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen / dining room, bathroom and sun terrace with views over the village to the castle perched on its rocky outcrop.
There is also a small patio with a lemon tree.
